Hidden beneath the roots of a big oak tree near the back of the camp is a small den where the ShadowClan leader sleeps. Lined with moss and pine needles, this cozy den is kept well-insulated from the cold weather outside.

Nestled safely under two boulders is the medicine cat den. Ferns cover the entrance, hiding the smooth cave underneath the rocks. There are little stones used for storage or mixing medicine lined up along the walls. In the back are two little beds made from soft moss where the medicine cat and apprentice sleep.

Closer to the entrance is the warriors' den. It's rather small, but warm and cozy on the inside, perfect for ShadowClan's cool weather. It's underneath a bramble bush with many thorns that the cats have learned to avoid over the years. Each of the beds are lined with moss, but little else, and the ground is naturally soft from the marshy land.

Tucked behind the warriors' den in its own bramble bush is the apprentices' den. It's rather long and narrow, lined on the inside with moss beds. Some lichen covers the bush, making it stuffier than the warriors' den, so there are several entrances to get in, and to let the breeze cool down the young cats.

At the other side of the camp, protected by heavy thorn bushes, in a neat little hollow is the Nursery. In times of battles, the thorn bushes are pulled around the entrance and the queens can slip around the back and straight out of the camp. It's the most comfortable den in ShadowClan; moss, heather and feathers from killed birds line the dens.

Under a clump of broken branches and dead bushes is the elders' den. Dried out bracken and heather line the outside, protecting it from harsh weather. It's bare with a few bits of moss for nests. It is extremely small, which helps the elders stay warm.
