AUDITIONS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Hello all! We have finally swept the site for any inactive high positions and are now holding auditions to replace them. PLEASE BE ACTIVE. Members that hold high positions must remain active, or the site can be negatively affected. For these auditions, just copy the posting code, fill out the information for your character, and post it in this thread. There isn't an exact deadline yet for these auditions, but one will be added soon once we can gauge how many people are auditioning. You can audition for any of these high positions with either an already created character, or you can create a new one. You do not need to make a bio before auditioning. If your character is chosen, you would have to make the bio then.
Since the only positions open are leader and deputy positions, please keep in mind that they can not be extremely young. It would be very rare for a young cat to be chosen as deputy when there are much older and more experienced cats. Deputies must be at least 40 moons and leaders must be at least 50. Since the WindClan leader has not been rped at all yet, he will just be removed from allegiances as leader and it should be rped as if he was never leader. The new leader chosen for WC will have been leader for a while.
NEEDED POSITIONS
- WindClan leader
- RiverClan deputy
- ThunderClan deputy
- ShadowClan medicine cat
Brightstar, the leader of TC, is also up for adoption. It would kind of mess with the plot is she was gotten rid of all together, so if you would like to adopt her, her bio is HERE. You can either edit the existing bio to better fit you, or you could make your own bio for her. Just make sure to stay along the same lines of her personality so as to avoid confusion.
Please fill out this application when auditioning:

This doesn't mean first person, it just means the rp sample must be written using the character you are applying with rather than a sample taken from an old post or another cat. [/blockquote][/size]

Name: Wingshadow Wingstar Age: Forty Moons Gender: Tom Position: Leader Picture: Here :3 Thoughts on the living situation:
Never once did he question himself about letting Riverclan enter his camp and seek shelter there. Yes, each clan is one by themselves but where else would these cats go after such a horrible thing happened. If his own clan was flooded out of their homes he'd only hope that another clan would be kind enough to offer a piece of their land till they found a new home. Riverclan cats also would owe Windclan very much. Giving them a place to stay is very much of a nice deed and Riverclan would almost forever be in Windclan's debt. He knows that Windclan is often called a weaker clan, so having this power over a stronger clan is very smart. Of course they had to make room for these cats and help them out till they were strong again. Yet Windclan knew how to keep and eye out and make Riverclan work for themselves.
Personality:
>>Respect and Understanding Windstar believes to have other's respect and understand your wants you need to do the same for them. He believes in the phase "Treat others how you would want to be treated." He has learned over many years to respect the truth and other's differing opinions. He values this much more then many things, for having respect for him he will have respect for you also. Not having respect for him will only cause you to question yourself with his calm and reasonable reactions. Respect and understanding doesn't only limit to others but to Starclan and the Warrior code. Breaking the warrior code is one thing that cannot be forgiven. He doesn't tolerate anything that breaks or even bends the code that he was taught to serve since he was a kit. Wingstar was always a believer of Starclan and stood for them since they chose him to be their warrior. He could had been born a mouse, yet Starclan chose him to be a cat and to join them after his journey was over. He doesn't understand why they do what they do, like flooding the clans and starting wars, yet he still believes in them with all his heart.
>>Courage Wingstar isn't afraid to get into a sticky situation. If it is for his clan or for a cat he cares about he will go though all lengths to make sure the cat is safe. He isn't afraid of battles or fights but if he can avoid one he will. He will not put other cats in danger if they do not need to be placed there. For his own courage, he will go into any fight calm and knowing. He knows what might happen and isn't afraid to risk his life. Of course he does have 9 but risking one or two for his clan means nothing.
>>Focus Wingstar has a clear and understanding focus on what he wants and how to achieve that successfully. If he has something that is needed to be done he realizes it, owns it, and then works toward that goal. He also can share his goal with others with such passion that he knows they will want this also. He knows working as a team is the way a clan survives as a healthy and clean place. He puts all his time and effort to his clan.
>>Fairness Being a leader means that often there are times that things are to be decided. He considers all factors, treats everycat the same and works to find a fair center. During fights often it is best to come to an agreement that holds each cat's opinion and need. He makes sure he hears both sides before acting upon anything. Also if punishment is needed, he makes sure that it is fair to the cat with what they have done. Not kicking the cat out of the clan for accidentally catching prey off another land or saying a few mean words to another. He can be clearly assertive and makes sure every cat realizes that he is their leader.
>>Old Ways Being a great warrior in Windclan Wingshadow often use to brag and be a bit of a smart ass. If he was called out on a patrol who chased a fox off Windclan land, he'd brag. If he caught a hunt fat rabbit, he'd brag. Anything that would make his placement above other warriors higher. He was a senor warrior but he still often got told to tone it down by the deputy or leader. It got him in trouble often actually and other cats would tend to harshly react to his attitude. Shadowclan for use did not enjoy his cocky-ness and often tried to rip his pelt off. Of course he never started anything that he thought he couldn't handle. His ego, some could say, was too big. Way to big to sit on this tom's shoulders.
When he was presented as deputy this ego got bigger but the tom knew he couldn't be the cat he use to be. He was now in charge of much more. His actions of bragging and getting into trouble with other cats mostly stopped. Of course it appears sometimes but not as often as everyday. Only once in a blue moon does he ever brag or start a fight with another cat.
RP Sample:
Wingpaw's feet hit the ground harder as the group of cats he was with gained speed. Turning their quiet, slow pace into a loud trot. Each cat held their own responsibly of staying with the group, which meant if a rock or log was placed before you. There is no second judgment of how far your leap should be. Wingpaw's mentor had told him this and other small bits of information that seemed much more important then anything else. The tom didn't think twice about staying close to his own mentor. He was the only apprentice who was aloud to go with the group of warriors. They were on a hunting patrol for rabbits. Not unusually for Windclan warriors and apprentice but it was this time. Hawks had been more active and stealing the prey of the cats. With a group of five trained warriors and one apprentice they were going to attack and either kill or scare off a few hawks. Wingpaw was given one of the best warriors in the clan, the leader. He knew that being the leader's apprentice didn't necessarily mean you are special but Wingpaw was special. From a young age he was fitted to be a very great warrior and was now training to be a very great warrior.
His mentor and leader stopped and with the flick of his tail all the cats halted and waited for the words. Without a glace at the group Wingpaw could tell the large tom was narrowing his eyes and thinking about how to encourage a safe and quick battle. From where the cats stood they could see a field before them. It was large with fairly high grass and flowers. "Now, many cats learn to hunt by themselves and not have to rely on others to help kill their pray. Hawks, are different. These birds are large and can kill a cat quickly with no thought. I brought you along today to help me in the deed of saving Windclan from these nasty pests. Wingpaw.. you stay here." The tom walked forward and the rest of the group padded around the young apprentice who stood in shock.
How could his mentor bring him on such an heroic journey and leave him in the bushes to watch. How could he stand here and watch? Wingpaw could feel his teeth grind together in his jaw. He was so angry! Toadstar stopped and looked at his warriors and asked a simple question. "Now how do we draw out these hawks?" The warriors all shrugged without thought and Wingpaw stepped forward. His ideas were great, he always had ideas. "Toadstar, how else? Use the prey as prey!" Everycat turned to look at the young tom as he spoke up. "I want to help. You brought me all this way and to leave me in the bushes? It's not fair that you leave be behind, I'm going to be a warrior soon anyways. I need to learn by doing and I can do this!" Wingpaw looked as his leader and talked in a low voice. There was no way he would back down from this fight.
Shaking his head Toadstar refused, "You will not. Each of these warriors on my left and right have spent many moons training to do something of this sort. You are too young and do not have the abilities to do something like this." Of course each word the tom spoke was calm yet very powerful. Wingpaw felt his heart drop slowly into his stomach as each word hit his ears with force. He hung his head, How could you have talked back to a leader or your mentor like so?
The warriors turned and took their spots in the field, ready to chase a rabbit out yet only to attract a fierce bird. Wingpaw didn't even watch as the hawk circled above and dove, then cats jumped upon him. Claws scratching and teeth bit into his wings and neck. No, Wingpaw was already deciding on how to show his mentor and everyone else that he was much more then a mouse-brained apprentice. He was a strong and courageous tom who would never sit out of a fight. Without second thought the tom was running into the field. The other's had killed the beast of feathers and were getting ready to take on the next bird who called above. Wingpaw ran across the field, rabbits turning their heels to run away. Yet all he could notice was the yelling of the cats and the shadow that dropped over him as the hawk followed his trail.
Wingpaw had no other choice as the hawk came in to not grab the rabbit but himself. He turned with a swift twist and jump, a move taught to him by his mentor, and caught the birds face with an out-stretched claw. The bird came tumbling toward him and managed to scratch the tom's back with a claw. Pelts of his fellow clan mates were soon around him and attacking the bird. While Wingpaw was in a daze he could only remember turning around and biting the bird's neck. The killing bite..
This is the story of how Wingpaw was named Wingshadow.

Name: Lichenfrost Age: 48 Moons of Age Gender: Female Position: Windclan Leader
Thoughts on the living situation:"I believe the whole thing is rather entertaining. I think Starclan gets bored wandering their beautiful sky, jumping from star to star and sleeping on their nests of clouds, that's why they decided to toy with the living. They've grown restless and I think they have a sick, twisted mind. It's pretty humorous seeing Shadowclan paired with Thunderclan and I'd love to meet which ever Starclanner set that up. Starclan likes to play games and this is just another one of their games. Once they get bored of it everything will go back to normal until the next game begins and all of us will be little pawns.
As for Riverclan moving in with us, I'm not particularly fond of it. However as a clan I'm sure we can learn some things from them. New skills perhaps? I think if we're forced to live with one another might as well get some benefits out of the deal, right? As long as their kittens, apprentices, and their whiny queens stay out of my fur I won't complain. No one wants to be smooshed together on one territory but there's no point arguing and fighting. Nothing gets done then. But I'll be ecstatic when they leave our moors, it's starting to reek of fish and I'm sure it'll take moons for the scent to blow away." Personality:grudge holder - skeptical - witty - sarcastic - analytic - intelligent - crass - grim - competitive loner || she likes to be by herself or in a small group of respected warriors. a lot of things irk her and so she chooses to detach herself from the things that irritate her. apprentices, for one example, annoy her to no extent. they're bratty or too eager to please. if one is paired with lichenfrost that apprentice has their work cut out for him or her. the she-cat is particular in her taste for friends and a very select few tend to make the cut. she just doesn't want to be burdened by trivial pieces of gossip, unless she gets to make fun of it, or hear about a queen go on and on about her future kittens. she likes intelligent conversations and intrigue.
reckless || the she-cat tends to think of the warrior code as a set of well-written guidelines. but if and when she becomes the leader she see knows that she wouldn't be nearly as strict as most. she thinks that starclan is a bit sexist when a male leader may take up a mate and have children whereas a female cannot. then there's the medicine cat rule. she wouldn't mind nixing that rule as well. if the clan fell under her leadership things would tend to change a bit but that doesn't mean wouldn't love her clan. she'd do what she could to make it safe and continue to make it prosper, but she can be a little reckless with her decisions.
closet romantic || in truth she'd like a mate and kittens (but if someone ever found that out she might cut their throat out). however her mate would have to be romantic and be able to hold his own against her. she doesn't want some pansy, she wants a real tom who will challenge her, who will fight with her, and then wind up in a steamy lock of passion. but for now she just likes to watch the handsome toms that parade around her camp, and now that there's riverclanners, there's even more beautiful bodies to watch. RP Sample:Lichenfrost sat between the rows of golden stalks, her grey eyes focused on Charredkit. The kitten hadn’t been missing for very long but it was long enough to induce the queens to start panicking. Some claimed that a fox must’ve stolen him and others made up even more hare brained ideas. The commotion gave the Windclan deputy a headache and threw her into a bad mood. Wispstar was prepared to organize patrols to search for the kitten but Lichenfrost would hear none of it. A kitten could not get very far, especially since it didn’t know the territory. Her main concern was the danger the kitten had decided to throw himself in. Although Windclan didn’t have to deal with foxes, wolves, or badgers often there were birds of prey that they did worry about. Charredkit wouldn’t have a chance if a hawk or eagle found his sorry ass first.
The black she-cat blinked. She had watched the young tom stalk the bird foolishly and yet she made no move to rescue him. He leaped upward, hooking into the post with his claws. It was an impressive jump for a kitten and she’d have to compliment him on that if he managed to live through today’s excursion. Of course the right thing to do would have been to save him right away. Correct his mistake before he even realized what sort of trouble he landed himself into. The hawk with its hooked beak and long talons could fillet Charredkit in one simple motion. However the unconventional she-cat allowed the tom to climb up the post until he was face to face with the beast. A grin uncurled upon her muzzle as the kitten’s eyes widened. The hawk looked at him, his sharp eyes glinted in the sunlight. It flapped its powerful wings sending Charredkit tumbling. Its cry carried and stretched over the moors. In a smooth motion the bird was airborne and gunning for the tom kitten. It’s first strike was a miss, a purposeful miss. I guess even birds like playing with their food, Lichenfrost mused.
The hawk circled while Charredkit cowered with his tail tucked between his legs. Perhaps now you’ve learned your lesson? She wondered as she bunched her muscles. The hawk dove a second time, its talons extended—just waiting to sink into the pathetic kitten’s flesh. The deputy bolted from her crouched position and leapt. Her claws sunk into the bird and she brought it down to the ground, her fangs sunk into its soft neck and it was over. The sickening crunch silenced the meadow. She turned her emotionless, grey eyes onto the adventurer at her paws. He was still shaking and the fear scent coming off of him was nauseating. “Pick it up,” she said and pointed a single claw at the limp hawk. “You can bring it back to camp.”
She didn’t wait for him to protest or see if he was following her—she continued to walk toward camp, unbothered by the fact that she could’ve let the kitten die.
