Appearance barely visible in the leaf-bare, mintpool’s pelt is pure white and nothing else. she gets rather irritated with it, as white shows dirt easily and she has to groom it constantly to avoid looking like ‘trash’. she takes pride in her appearance, but only to an extent. she isn’t afraid to get her snow white fur dirty and enjoys a good rump in the mud. she’s on the smaller size, less than average. her legs are shorter and her paws are smaller, but her speed makes up for her lack of brute strength. because of her small size, she is quite fast and swift in battle. she uses her size to her advantage, rather than whining about her disadvantage. her eyes are a striking bright color that pop out against her skin. a mix between a light green, with light hues of a sunny yellow, they make for an interesting color. her ears and nose are a bright pink. her body is lean and slim, her fur short-haired. Personality mintpool has a true heart, her kindness radiating from the smallest kit to the grumpiest elder. she cares for each and every one of her clanmates and would do anything to protect them, without a second thought. if it’s just a little thing, like helping out a queen round up her kits or helping a fellow warrior patch up a hole in the warriors’ den, her gracious nature shines through. she’s very accepting and generally quite forgiving, unless you do her horribly wrong. she is especially kind and gentle to the kits of the clan, or any kit for that matter. she adores the little furballs and despite her thinking that she wouldn’t make a good mother, she’s looking forward to having her own little bundles to take care of. she’s a caring she-cat and her love never denies a soul. despite her compassionate nature, mintpool knows what she wants and will work to get whatever it is. she will work hard, day and night if that’s what it takes. she can be quite stubborn and is hard to budge her from her current mindset. granted, she will take orders easily, if they’re from a higher power such as a leader or deputy. otherwise, she hates it when a warrior her own age bosses her around like she’s a mindless kit. despite her grace in battle, she is quite clumsy in daily life. tripping over a pebble on the ground is not unordinary for her. she is quite gullible and easy to play a prank on, as she doesn’t hold a grudge and forgives easily. that being said, if you do her completely wrong, it’s hard to gain back her trust. if it’s just a little something, like a practical joke, she’ll laugh it off and be done with it. she’s respectful and polite, she knows when she needs to keep her mouth shut. she’s not as hyper as she was as a young warrior. the recent death of her foster mother in the floods has made her a more calm, quieter cat. she handles tense situations with a calm, clear mind, but that doesn’t mean she enjoys being caught up in drama. she can be quite thoughtful and wise, earning these traits from her mentor. she sometimes stares off into the distance, but you can never tell what she’s thinking of. she could be trying to decipher the meaning of life or wondering what a butterfly does in his spare time. mintpool’s an awful liar, her facial expressions usually giving her away. she has quite a lot of quirky traits, like weirdly laughing when she’s crying or curling up in the tightest ball possible when she sleeps. History mintpool was born in the dead of leaf-bare, snow fluttering down from the bright sky above. she practically blended into the snow because of her bright pelt, earning her name mintkit. her parents adored each other, but not so much mintkit. her father, birchfur, was a dedicated warrior, too wrapped up in his warrior duties to notice anything, but his mate and mintkit’s mother, whiteheart. the couple were young to have kits, only a few moons after their warrior ceremonies. they were commonly looked down upon by the older cats of the clan, but they didn’t seem to notice. whiteheart was against having kits and once mintkit was born, she demanded to have herbs to stop her milk from coming. the medicine cat advised her against, but whiteheart was determined, a trait mintkit inherited from her. so, mintkit was given to another queen for milk, a warm she-cat named brighteyes. whiteheart still visited her daughter in the nursery every once in a while, but when mintkit was old enough to actually know what was going on in the world, whiteheart’s frequent visits came to a halt. mintkit didn’t really take notice, she barely could recognize her mother’s scent anymore. her father never took an interest in her, too focused on serving his clan to love a daughter. her mother was a generally stiff cat and couldn’t handle the task of raising a kit. mintkit was content with her new mother, brighteyes. brighteyes had one other kit, rosekit, who died of greencough before mintkit was born. brighteyes raised blahkit as her own, showing more love than her own parents pretended to give her. her apprentice ceremony was something she’d never forget. mintkit was overwhelmed with the happiness of her new name and her new life in the apprentices’ den. she couldn’t wait to start her training with her mentor, a wise tom by the name of lionclaw. he was quite old, but had the energy of a kit and became someone mintpaw could look up to. he became more than a mentor, but a friend and a role model. she trained hard for several moons, determined to prove her clan proud, but more for her parents. she figured if she was the strongest, best warrior in the clan, her parents would notice her. lionclaw advised her against it, as she would push herself to the brink of exhaustion. after a while of being ignored, she finally gave up on trying to impress them and grew to foster a hatred for them. she never forgave them for leaving her as a kit. she focused on her training and passed her assessment with ease. she was awarded her warrior name, mintpool, and stood with her head held high, without a glance her parents’ way. she grew close to the cats her age, as she was easy to be friends with. she still remained her close relationship with brighteyes and lionclaw, going to the two cats for advice or a shoulder to cry on. when she was thirty moons, brighteyes retired to the elders’ den. she had always been old, but mintpool didn’t realize how old she really was until she became an elder. she visited her every day, her adoration for her foster mother never diminishing. mintpool hunted frequently, fought vigorously, and became a true warrior, loyal to her clan. she had a good life, until her entire world came crashing down with a wave. she was asleep when the thunderclan camp was attacked by the wall of water. lionclaw burst into the warriors’ den, herding her and the other snoozing warriors out. she was absolutely terrified, always having an uneasy feeling about water. she got separated from lionclaw and the other warriors, but she was more focused on getting to the elders’ den. she crashed into the den, but all the elders had been evacuated. without thinking, mintpool instantly thought brighteyes was safe, that someone had helped her out of the camp. mintpool made her way through the waves, one of the last ones out of the camp. she was grateful to the shadowclan cats for taking her and her clan in, but nonetheless she felt uneasy being in a rival clans’ territory. when they first escaped the submerging territory, mintpool immediately went looking for brighteyes. she passed her parents on her search, reluctantly noting they had survived. without luck, she couldn’t locate brighteyes. she went to the other elders that had survived. when she asked where her mother was, they bowed their heads, giving mintpool her answer. to say the least, she was shocked. she wouldn’t believe it. she even tried to race back into thunderclan territory to search for brighteyes, but her clanmates held her back. since brighteyes' death, mintpool is quieter than she was, less excited about everything. her dear mother had been taken by the wall of water and she was in shock. currently, mintpool is still struggling to move on from her fresh grief and has contented herself with helping around, trying to make living in shadowclan’s camp comfortable and safe for her clanmates.
