Appearance Jaystorm's form displays a build that is quite unusual for a WindClan cat. He lacks the excessive sleekness and lean qualities of most of her Clan, and instead bears a rougher, RiverClan-esque features. He is not as quick on his paws as most of the other cats of her Clan, but makes up for it with his brute strength. His pelt is a lightly-mottled cream tipped with bay; his paws, ears, face, and the end of his long tail flaunt this chocolate hue. He has large paws to accommodate his equally large claws. His bodice is adorned by a long tail that has an unusually thick tuft of fur at the end. Personality -laid-back. Jaystorm is a very relaxed character when it comes to every-day life. He doesn't like causing trouble and doesn't make a mountain out of a molehill. He is only mildly strict with minor infractions, and doesn't stress over the little things. Now, don't get him wrong, though--he's not lazy, either. In fact, he's almost the opposite of lazy. -kind. This tom tries to help those of his Clan (and sometimes RiverClan) whenever he can. He believes that you do not get anywhere by being bitter or hateful, and that the welfare of all would be improved by removing anger over petty things. There are several exceptions to his kindness, but they are few and far between. -charming. He has a very unique sense of humor that some find quite attractive. Jaystorm can be a bit of a flirt if you give him confidence or boost his self-esteem with a well-placed compliment, but otherwise he will keep it to a minimum. -generous. Jaystorm is very generous, especially when it comes to praise. If he tells someone that they have done something wrong in training, he will also thrown in things that they did well. He will not hesitate to give praise where it has been earned, and is known for recognizing others accomplishments. He also tries to treat the rest of the cats as equals, and also tries to distribute respect just as equally. He gives others credit for their achievements, as well. -strict. ...when needed. If a major wrong has been done, Jaystorm is the last cat you want to be the one to punish you. This comes with his extreme loyalty to his Clan and his devotion to improving its well-being. He is quite strict when it comes to training, as well. At times, he can go overboard and deliver punishment that is a little bit cruel, but is always extremely and overly remorseful for it afterward. He will often lessen punishments to a reasonable level if you give him a little bit of time to calm down and think. History -jaykit. Jaykit was named for his beautiful blue eyes. Normally a cat would not be named for having blue eyes, as it is a kit trait that normally fades. This was one exception, though, as his eyes were much more vibrant and his mother, who bore his same markings, also had azure eyes. Thus, he was dubbed Jaykit. He was a very calm character, even as a kit. He and his sister, Heatherkit, were the only kits to survive, as the third had been stillborn. He was much stronger than his sibling, but was always overly gentle with her. He grew to be very protective of her, as well. It was here that his protectiveness and kind habits took root. As he ventured more and more from the queen's den, he noticed a lot of disdain shown toward he and his sister from a lot of the Clan. He was not sure why, but looked forward to his apprenticehood anyway. -jaypaw. Jaypaw quickly learned why he and his sister were so disliked. Shortly before they were born, their father betrayed their Clan, and then ran off with a rogue she-cat afterward. This brought his bad reputation down onto their shoulders. Fortunately, though, this did not last long, as he never showed his face again and was never respected very much as a warrior. Had his betrayal been more severe, it would have not disappeared so easily, but luckily, it had been a minor dealing with freshkill. Sure, they were frowned upon at times, but as their father faded in the majority of the Clan members' memories, so did their hate. Jaypaw excelled as a fighter, and became a warrior around fourteen moons. He learned that he was not as quick as the other cats, but once he had someone pinned, it was extremely difficult to dislodge him. -jaystorm. The suffix of 'storm' came from his physical power. He was intrigued by the name, if not amused by it. Jaystorm proved himself to be a loyal warrior. He also grew closer to his sister, as they had grown apart during their training, surprisingly. He and Heatherfoot became inseparable once more. That was, until the prophecy of the flood. Heatherfoot, who did not believe in StarClan and believed the prophecy to be ridiculous, ignored it and did not move uphill with the Clan. She was never seen again. This devastated Jaystorm to an unimaginable point. It was losing her that made him act in a hospitable manner toward the RiverClan cats; he knew how they felt, and that made all of the difference. |
