Appearance There are many rumors about what The Night Walker actually looks like, from a white cat with stars glittering in its fur to a tabby tom with crimson eyes. The latter is usually associated with rumors of him merely being Tigerstar's ghost. But the one that is the most common is that he is a short-haired tom with fur as black as obsidian and a bright, bright yellow eye. Yes, a yellow eye; he is missing his left optic. Each spot was always filled with some sort of strong-smelling plant, so many believe that he covers his scent there and makes a quick getaway. Many have given up on ever catching him. -kind. Many claim to have been saved by The Night Walker when they were kits. From rescuing kits who had fallen in the water to scaring away Twoleg young'ins that happened upon a wandering kit, every once in a while someone will say that they are here only because some cat saved them. It is from these cats that most sayings of a black feline come from. Some apprentices and warriors say to have been helped by this individual, but they are few and far in between. -silent. No matter how the situations of every account vary, one thing is always the same; he has never spoken. Every cat that has witnessed his presence has said that he never uttered a word. The same goes for every other sound, including laughter, growls, or even sighs. He has always maintained an eerie silence. Whether this is the same for all cats or it is one thing that he does to the Clan cats, nobody is exactly sure. -frightening. His daunting appearance has the potential to be quite terrifying, from his gruesome scars to his glowing eye. The mysterious vibe and attitude that he displays is another thing that scares others, as, almost like humans, cats are frightened by what they cannot explain. History Nobody is quite sure what happened in his past to make him such a mysterious figure. Nobody is quite sure what happened in his past to give him such brutal wounds. Nobody is even quite sure as to where he came from. All they know is that about forty moons ago, he made his first appearance in ThunderClan territory. It was a warm night filled with tar. Between the heavy cloud cover and the new moon, visibility was at its extreme minimum. A group of ShadowClan apprentices were planning on hunting in ThunderClan Territory, to get revenge. Suspicions had been high as to whether or not the opposing Clan had been stealing prey, but the apprentices decided that they would do something about it. A ThunderClan she-cat was out and about in the territory, unable to sleep. They happened upon her in the middle of the night, and panicked. They knocked her out before she could warn the Clan of what she thought was an ambush. It was then that he silently appeared, leg sweeping under one of the apprentices, tripping him. The surprised cat stifled a yowl, and the others also found themselves plagued by what seemed like an invisible enemy. It was then that a gap in the clouds cleared, and a bright yellow eye in the darkness brightly reflected the very dim light that made its presence. Baffled and scared, the inexperienced apprentices fled back to their own territory. The she-cat says that even though she was unconscious, she could feel the world around her. As the air stopped moving, she felt another pelt press close to hers, keeping her warm until she fell completely asleep. The next day, a sunrise patrol was sent to find the she-cat, and they found her laying there, short black hairs scattered on one side of her light pelt. Since then, he has made mysterious presences throughout all of the Clans. Nobody is sure who he is anymore, with the rumors flitting about here and there. |
