Appearance The she-cat can be considered a very elegant creature, but then, what she-cat isn't. Svelte and willowy, her frame is fairly thin, but if one looks well enough, they could probably find the lean muscle that accentuates and strengthens her frame. Trim legs, long and lithe, she makes appealing show on the eyes. Long furred, Emberwing is a touch vain about her appearance and enjoys keeping it in tact as best she can. However, when on hunts, her need to keep the clan sustained takes the front seat in her mind and drives her on without a care about her coat. Sometimes, many find the golden-eyed feline spending laborious time before bed or simply during her free time trying to clear out tangles and muck that might get within the mismatched strands. Emberwing, compared to most, could be thought of as an interesting feline to look at. With the main color of her fur being black, most of it is spotted with dull golds and browns and the very palest of oranges to create a sort of 'patch work' along the expansion of her fur. Rounded ears are always perked and ready with large, almond-shaped, auric eyes ready and alert. The hard surface of the gold, however, can turn into the warmest of honeyed caramel to welcome who ever it is that has caused such a look upon the she-cat. Personality Emberwing is a lot of emotion tied into one furry package. Though she often is warm and friendly to anyone she meets, it is only with her very close companions that her playful energy pulls itself from her fur. She lives in the moment and often never thinks of what could happen unless it's of grave importance or a danger to her clan. Rarely does this ever happen as she dislikes thinking about anything that can down her mood. One of the things she enjoys and often brightens her mood, is when she can go through the clan territory and go hunting. She's the type that enjoys the thrill of the hunt and the successful emotion that runs through her frame at knowing she caught something. She takes great pride in her hunting abilities and tries her best to bring as much prey as she can for her clan when not busy with other duties. The she-cat is not without her off moments though. Should someone upset her, though quite hard to do, she easily can take to offense to certain things and is known for having a very harsh temper. A proud she-cat, she hates when someone criticizes her for the sake of criticizing and crawling under her fur. Never has she gone further then hissing or baring fangs, but she would not stop herself from clawing someone's ears clear off should they upset her enough. Vain would be another word to add. Those quiet and keeping to herself, Emberwing knows that she is attractive, or at least, appealing to some of the toms, and she is not afraid to show that she knows it, especially in her walk. She has a gentle adoration for kits, however, finding them adorable and reminding her of days when she herself was young and impressionable. She herself often wishes for when she can have kits, but careful she is, she decides only for the one that she will find and truly love. She's not the type to fall into small acts of infatuation like a dreamy apprentice before a handsome tom. She expects to find the one that she will feel the most comfortable around, to be able to bare her insecurities, and to have someone she can trust to lean on when it gets hard. All and all, Emberwing is a fairly down-to-earth feline with a knack for being vain and prideful of the little things, and with an expectancy to be respected. History falconleaf - father goldensky - mother poppyfur - sister sorrelthorn - brother ---KIT To say that Emberkit was an energetic little thing would be an understatement. She would often be found bouncing around the nursery, skipping from her mother to the other queens and kits, and back to her mother again. She was never known for sitting still for quite long, unless of course it was to sleep. Times when her mother would let her out with the other kits, to play just outside the nursery, she would be almost immediately drag her den mates into a game. No matter what it was, from playing hunter's tag to acting out the old stories their mothers used to tell them, Emberkit was always in the center of attention, ready to take it all in stride, no matter what happened. ---APPRENTICE When the bundle of energy became an apprentice, Emberpaw was more then happy to learn from her mentor. An older tom by the name of Hawkflight became her mentor and while she learned, he offered her stability and a more grounded state of mind. Whether it was the hunting trips or the battle lessons he taught her, she had found that from his overall being, she had taken onto herself his general state of mind. Her energy was still there, yes, but she had evened herself out by the end of her training, and set her extra energies upon helping the clan. ---WARRIOR A well brought up apprentice, Emberwing was taken into the lines of her fellow warriors. Obvious a little green around the ears, she's well known for taking up onto most of the things that people offer her, be it to go upon hunting trips or border patrols. Now, after a couple of moons, she has more or less relaxed into her position. Though that spark of energy is always there, either in her steps or in her amber eyes, the warrior she-cat is always ready for a little action. Roleplay Sample Waves of gold strands shifted about across the landscape, all the color of warm goldenrod. The day had turned warm, though not too hot, if one could find the proper places of shade. The air was clear and smelled of flowers and wear. The she-cat let out a happy purr as she stretched amongst the tall strands of golden grass around her. Emberwing loved days like this, where the sun was out, everything was warm. Alive. Making out her way upon a well-padded path, pieces of wheat more downtrodden then others, she moved, body slinky and ready. The patches of orange, brown, and gold meshed with the black of her fur and she let out another happy purl as some buts of the grass she passed tugged at her fur. Yes, the day would go well. She had woken that morning with the thought of going out upon her own personal hunting trip. With the heat, many animals would be wanting to refresh themselves with water. And so, the only reasonable idea would be to go to the rock pond. With a bounce in her step, she has headed to the pond. Here she lay, hidden away in the grass, watching the pond and awaiting to whoever would come forward. Waiting she could do, her patience always lasted long, especially upon hunting trips. Emberwing watched, amber eyes peering out, until her ears twitched at the sound of flapping wings. Growing silent, the tortie watched as a crow set itself beside the pond. It was uncommon for them to come here, at least, when they could get caught. The ebony bird moved forward, dipping it's beak down into the water and drawing itself up, bouncing as it drank the water down. Taking a gentle breath in, Emberwing held her breath and then, with a bunching of muscles lept. The crunch of wheat had caught the bird's attention and with a loud caw had began to flap it's wings, taking to the air. With a hiss, she smacked it back down, baring fangs. Holding it down, she gave it a swift bite to the throat to kill it. Pulling herself up, she peered down at it with a happy purr. Licking one paw, she swiped it over her muzzle. Oh, yes, she was definitely going to hunt down more. If this was how the hunting would be for today, she hoped to bring back quite a bit. Emberwing felt the pride swell in her chest at the bird by her feet. Yes, she was very happy. |
