Appearance At least 100 words, 50 if you have a picture. Personality Eaglepaw is self-critical, resolute about his decisions, protective, short-tempered, and most importantly - indescive. WIP History "It's a long story..." Eaglepaw used to be your normal clan cat - He had loving parents, friends in the nursery, everything that you would think a normal kit had. He was under the too good to be true illusion that his parents, Shellclaw and Swanfeather were deeply in love with each other, and that his life would be perfect. Just absolutely perfect. Too bad that silly dream couldn’t have come true, because if it were real, Eaglepaw wouldn’t be in this seemingly dire situation - Though than that temporary glass of insensibility shattered, and all hell broke loose after that. During the season of late leaf-fall, his mother came down with a severe case of green-cough, and all the truth was spilled in a few dying words. “Eaglepaw, Shellclaw, I have something to tell you before I ascend on my journey to Starclan.” Her raspy voice choked out, and she feebly tried to beckon the two of us towards her with a flick of her tail. It as if she had gained the wisdom of an elder in only a few moments of truth, but that still couldn’t heal the pain of what she was about to tell the heartbroken mate, and her confused kit. You see, Swanfeather had what most cats would consider a ‘small fling’ with a travelling rouge, but it resulted with her becoming pregnant. Of course though, to save herself from the embarrassment if anyone were to find out about this humiliation, the young and still immature she-cat took a mate, which wasn’t hard when she used her honey-sweet words and her velvety voice that could have most toms drooling over her in seconds. So she took Shellclaw, a handsome, arrogant tom who had no brain to go along with all his brawn. Shellclaw, being quite oblivious to most things, was madly in love with the beautiful Swanfeather, and it didn’t even cross his mind that the she-cat was using him. He just merely thought she loved him too, but he was beyond wrong. So, when she told him moons later when she was about to leave this earthly plane and venture into the blissful Starclan, Shellclaw went mad. Some say he first verbally attacked Eaglekit, spitting raged nonsense at the now frightened kit. He told the young kit that he was a stupid piece of crow-food, and that nobody would ever love a half-clan cat. The deranged Shellclaw just went on and on about how worthless Eaglekit was, and though this only went on for a few more seconds until the rest of Seaclan intervened and drove the irate tom out, the words scarred Eaglekit. Being still just a mere kit, Eaglekit could be easily influenced to believe something, and that is precisely what the tom did. He believed every word Shellclaw said to him that night, and though he has forgotten most of the scene now, the wounds still remain. (May or may not be re-written) Roleplay Sample as this is an older example, I could probably do more now. Eaglepaw crouched in the grass, muscles bunched in preparation for his pounce, brown eyes twinkling with a determined spark. This was probably the only moment in the day that Eaglepaw was moderately content, in all other moments of time he was as snappy and irritable as always. Perhaps it was the soothing morning dew that lay heavy in the morning air, or maybe it was the undisturbed solitude that hunting early in the day offered, or possibly both. Whatever the exact reason, it simply just elated the tom, and that was enough for Eaglepaw. Rocking back and forth on his paws, he examined the vole and his stance further, making sure that he was in the absolute best position to leap into the air and land square on the tiny animal. Of course though, whenever he ever thought too hard about his hunting or combat techniques, the situations either ended with him not catching anything at all or landing flat on his face in battle training. And whenever this happened, which it happened almost always, Eaglepaw’s feelings of embarrassment doubled afterwards whenever he saw someone else perform what he couldn’t flawlessly. Making sure his striped tail was perfectly erect, Eaglepaw took a few moments just to relax himself, breathing in and out slowly as if not to disrupt the shrubbery that was concealing his large form. Eaglepaw than bunched his leg muscles, leaping across the short distance with what seemed like great precision. His paws landed on the ground with a muffled thump a second or two later, and he darted his eyes down to where the vole should of been, hoping to see the tiny creature still stunned in place. Nothing. The only thing that Eaglepaw could see was the lush verdant ground, but no vole. Still gaping wide at his tremendous blunder, the inexperienced apprentice spun around on his paws just in time to see a rustle in the bushes behind him. Frowning, Eaglepaw felt an itch in his paws to chase after the animal, but he knew it would just be a waste of his time and energy. The young apprentice had woken before dawn to catch something that would impress his mentor, but obviously now that was an utter failure, like most of the things he tried to do to for his mentor. Shellsong understood at least, and seemed to have the patience to deal with Eaglepaw’s incompetence to do certain things. The young tom had always had problems with battle training, and though he tried so hard to perform the techniques, Eaglepaw knew he would never be able to do those moves as well as a warrior, or an older apprentice could. Letting a small sigh escape from his muzzle, he let his head drop gradually as he started to walk back towards the camp, feeling completely useless that he hadn’t caught anything that would benefit his now waking clan. The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as Eaglepaw stepped quietly into camp, and as soon as his hazel orbs met the quiet gaze of Lichenpaw, he immediately didn’t want to be there. He always started to feel guilty whenever he saw another apprentice, one might even describe his feelings as jealous. He always felt that they were better than him somehow, and because he was out all morning and didn't catch anything, seeing her made him feel guilty and jealous. Trying to be as casual as possible to not gain anyone’s attention, especially Lichenpaw's, Eaglepaw started to make his was towards the warriors den, taking long strides so he wouldn't have to stay in the open for long. Perhaps his mentor, Shellsong, was awake.
